Cub Scout Caleb

Caleb has been in cub scouts since he turned 8 in February and he is loving it. He has already earned his Bobcat badge and has earned his first of four beads towards his Wolf badge. Of course, he takes it very seriously and I have been proud of his good behavior at den meetings and pack meetings. I know it will fade over time so I'm just loving it while I've got it! I have been serving as the assistant den leader. I always thought that cub scouts would not be my "cup of tea" but I have really enjoyed it so far. I have learned a lot and I enjoy spending that time with Caleb. It has been very good for us to have something we do together. Clear the Streets

I cannot believe that the time has come! Amanda has her learner's permit and is driving. She is doing great around the neighborhood but hasn't ventured much further. She is still trying to get the feel of the pedals and steering wheel. I think she is doing great and more importantly . . . she looks good!

Most of my friends are not dog lovers. This week I begin my mission to convert them all to the doggie gospel. The first discussion is titled "Unconditional Love". A dog never gets mad at you and they think you are always right. A dog loves you no matter what dumb thing you have done or said. A dog always forgives. Who can't love that?

50 Years Together

We recently celebrated my Aunt Mollie and Uncle Jack's 50th Wedding Anniversary with a big party. Aunt Mollie insisted I make the cake. It didn't turn out too bad but was definitely stressful! I'm glad I don't have to do that very often.

Wyatt is 6 months old

Our littlest miracle is now 6 months old. I know I'm his mama, but he sure is cute isn't he? Now if he would just sleep through the night again! Every night he sleeps fewer and fewer hours at one time. Oh well, just more time to stare at his precious face!
